PUPPY GOLF DISC with a SKETCH OF CALIFORNIA TOURIST HOT SPOTS: SAN FRANCISCODISNEY LAND LOS ANGELESPALM SPRINGSSAN DIEGOCOLARADO RIVERTIJUANABAJA, CALIFORNIA hot stamp. It has the BEN-WAL PLASTICS, INC.VAN NUYS, CALIFORNIA stamp on the bottom. The disc is a light tan color and it has a dark brown hot stamp. It is made of a stiff plastic with very little give to it. There are two mold rings around the center nipple on the bottom. Weight - 181 grams.Diameter - 8 1/4 inches.Plastic type-DX. It is in new vintage condition, with only very minor marks from storage and handling. This is a super rare Puppy made of a hard plastic with a rare hot stamp and the Ben-Wall Plastics, Inc. stamp on the bottom. It's been bagged since purchased in the 1980's. It is in excellent condition! HISTORY: The PUPPY was made from 1980 to 1983 and was the fastest golf disc on the market until the CHAMPION EAGLE was marketed in 1983. The DESTINY DISCS PUPPY is the same mold as the early BEN WALL golf discs, The DGA KITTYHAWK DRIVER, The 1983 PDGA WORLDS SHUTTLE PUPPY, and the white GENERIC GOLF DISC . Destiny Discs quite selling the PUPPY after a legal dispute with DGA. In 1984 DESTINY marketed the SUPER PUPPY which became very popular as it was more stable then the PUPPY. For those of you who don't know the difference between the PUPPY and the SUPER PUPPY: The SUPER PUPPY has a deeper lip which makes it more stable and less likely to turn over.
