Flashlights Description Distributed by Phoebus Tactical the new MicroFire PL-500R Challenger LED tactical flashlight features the latest developments in ultra-bright LED technology. An array of seven CREE Q5 LEDs in a highly polished reflector produces 900 lumens for up to two hours continuous use at Full brightness and 100 lumens for up to 20 hours at Low power. The high output LEDs are arranged in a cluster of individual reflectors, engineered to produce a brilliant white beam of white penetrating light for an effective range up to 400 yards. The Challenger comes with a K2 Lithium Ion battery which can be recharged over 500 times using the standard K2 table-top charger. Time required for a full re-charge is 3 hours. The rugged, water and dust-resistant unit is CNC machined aircraft-grade aluminum with a black, hard anodized body and non-slip hand holds. The Challenger measures 7.4 inches (182mm) long and has a bezel diameter of 3 inches (76mm), a housing diameter of 1.7 inches (43 mm), a weight of 1.5 pounds (680gm) and electrical output of 12 watts. The lamp head can be detached from the K2 battery and used with a G4 battery tube using 4 x CR123A batteries for gun mounting, or with the K2-CR123A full battery mag using 8 x CR123A non-rechargeable batteries. The K-2 Tactical Holster is included with the Challenger. Available accessories (purchased separately) include Color Filters and Rubber Shock Absorbers to protect the Challenger from damage if dropped onto a hard surface.
