New handmade double mounted spurs made by long time bit and spur maker Don Rogers of Hereford, Texas. Don has been building since 1975 and his work is sought after by cowboys and collectors alike. Don is listed in Bits and Spurs, Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The spurs are marked Rogers 1860 on the outside of the heel bands. The spurs are steel with light gray finish and are mounted with nickel silver and brass. These spurs would be nice to use or a great pair of spurs to add to a collection from a very collectible maker. Measurements: Heel Band Width at widest 1 ¼”, Shanks 2 ⅜”, Rowel Diameter 1 ¾”, Rowel Points 10, Heel Opening 3 ¼”, Weight of Both Spurs 1 pound 12.1 ounces
