This D35 flashlight is flagship model and the most powerful offering from the Xtar range. It hosts three of the latest Cree XM-L2 U2 LEDs, with independent drivers and constant current technology the D35 ensures the perfect stable current is driven to each of the LEDs giving an awesome light output. The design of the D35 is loosely based on the Xtar S1 flashlight which in itself is an excellent flashlight but the D35 is improved in some areas and made more compact and easier to handle but is of course of the same high quality, the D35 has a larger control ring making it easier to use especially underwater or when wearing cloves, it is also fully waterproofed to IPX8 standards down to 100m and specially designed for diving use. It is deemed to be one of the best Diving flashlights on the market and has the 2nd post powerful throw at this moment in its class, capable of an impressive beam throw of up to 560 Metres (on land). The design of the D35 is cleverly thought out, it feels solid in your hand weighing in at 870g (exc. batteries) and the balance of the flashlight is excellent, it feels exceptionally very well made and you know you have a serious tool in your hand which will not let you down. The craftsmanship of this D35 is second to none as each component is carefully designed to work well, from the solid easy to hold grip to the large easy to operate magnetic control switch the D35 offers maximum power when you need it most combined with a superb build quality which will last you well.

The D35 has 3 standard light output settings along with a preset setting which you can fix to any brightness you wish, along with strobe and SOS settings also should you require them. The standard settings are High which gives the maximum 2800Lm, Mid 800Lm and Low 200Lm and the preset can be set the anywhere between 2800Lm down to 15Lm. The D35 runs on 3 x 18650/18700 Li-ion 3.6 - 3.7v Batteries which on the presets can give run times of High 1.6h/Mid 6.5h/Low 35h based on the Xtar 3100mAh batteries, and up to 500h on the lowest 15Lm setting.Click on an image on this page to enlarge!!
It is highly recommend only to use protected 18650/18700 batteries for your safety and to protect your flashlight!! (we do a good range of the latest Xtar batteries from 2600mAh to the latest 3400mAh capacity batteries which will extend the run time figures quoted above)

The cooling on the D35 is excellent thanks to the clever design of the D35 and the fact that Xtar do not push their LEDs to the maximum, making the D35 a great flashlight for land use as well as in the water. You will barely notice the D35 getting hot whereas other brands can be too hot to even hold. Xtar do not push the LEDs to the maximum as they believe in lasting quality and try to achieve high power with extended battery life. The Cree XM-L2 U2 LED is theretically capable of around 1200 Lumen max which with 3 of them would equate to around 3600 Lumen max, you will see sellers stating higher figures but these are generally untested figures and it would be most doubtful if they are anywhere near the figures quoted. The more current you push through the LED the less efficient it becomes so you need to increase the power considerably to achieve little gain, it also means the flashlight generates more heat and components fail far quicker when stressed, also the batteries do not last anywhere near as long. Xtar are masters when it comes to achieving the brightest light out of the LED yet achieving excellent run times which is why they are market leaders in flashlight technology.
All in all this is a superb high quality flashlight/torch which is a great divers tool but is also excellent as a land flashlight as well.

The D35 diving torch comes presented in a nice padded protective carry case helping to keep your torch clean and safe until you need it. It is supplied with extra 'O' rings and silicone grease to keep the seals nice and leak proof. It also comes with wrist strap (removable) to ensure it stays with you during your dive and shoulder strap making it easy to carry with all your equipment.Silicon greaseThe silicon grease is a very important part of any divers kit as it lubricates and seals the flashlight giving a better waterproof seal, it also keeps 'O' rings in good order and stops them from drying out and cracking, keeping them supple and ensuring they do not leak.
