This is a lovely saddle custom made by John Fallis back in 2000. It has been very lightly used since then, cleaned on a regular basis and always kept in a heated tack room. The leather is in wonderful condition - soft and supple with no rips, tears, holes or issues. Per Mr Fallis, to have this same saddle made today would cost close to $5000, and you'd have to wait almost a year to get it. The Fallis name is associated with quality leather and workmanship not to mention a wonderful ride so, if you're in the market for a great saddle check out this auction! If you don't know what makes the Fallis saddles so special here's a short list - They have a much flatter seat which puts you right over the horse's center of gravity, unlike many western saddles where you feel as if you're lounging in a rocking chair. The fenders are designed with less bulk and move like the stirrup leathers on an English saddle. On many western saddles the fenders are so stiff and thick they don't move at all making communication with your horse very difficult, if not impossible. The rigging is designed so it will fit a variety of equines and there's less bulk under your leg. This particular saddle is especially nice as it has a touch of silver which is a lovely touch for the show ring. The cantle is laced with sterling silver, the skirt plates are silver plate and have an applied rope edge, the conchos are Montana silver. If you do any trail riding the saddle strings will help keep your necessities at hand. If you'd rather not have the strings they can be easily removed and the solid show style conchos can replace the slotted string conchos. Take note of the rawhide wrapped horn with the silver horn cap!Basket weave tooling is coupled with a floral design on the tooling giving the saddle a unique yet elegant look. The stirrups are leather covered and done with matching tooling. The fenders adjust with Blevins buckles. The bottom fleece is real sheep skin, not synthetic and it's in excellent condition. The seat is a lovely warm gold smooth leather with extra padding. No suede to keep rough and clean, just a good saddle soap or leather conditioner and you're good to go! It was ordered as a 15" and it measures 15" but please check out the pictures as everyone has different ideas as how a seat should be measured. There is also a matching breast collar that goes with the saddle. It is tapered and supple yet solid and meant to be used. The tooling on the breast collar matches that of the saddle. There is no silver on the breast collar. Also, the pictures are part of the description so please look closely. The zoom feature is there so you can get a closer look of anything you might want to know.  If you have any questions, please ask!!! I am not a store and cannot accept returns so this is a final sale -  but I will work with you and answer any and all questions including more pictures to help you make a sound buying decision. Shipping is $75 domestic, sorry no international shipping. Payment via PayPal within 3 days of the end of the auction or immediately with Buy It Now.  The saddle will not be packed until it's paid for just in case there are questions that need to be answered.
