This is a model 300 Vapalux lantern from a family collection going back some years. This might be pre-1940 but don’t take that as gospel.This has not been polished for a while, so is presented as found, but was subject of a caring refurb a while back.Firstly, the glass chimney imaged is not an original, and for my own peace of mind as far as shipping is concerned, not included. These are readily available elsewhere in any case.There are two fairly shallow dents to the tank, but it sits flat and the cage is in good condition.The cap seems original and has the majority of its enamel coating intact but for some small chips. The ventilator is a little scorched from being used a few times since last polished, but there’s no hard work to be done here after all. This holds pressure and gives a good light. As far as I can tell it is pretty much original in spec. with the early type spirit cup arrangement. Evidently this was painted brown in the beginning. Please see all images and study them, as they form a part of my description for where further words fail me, as I can not hope to mention every single blemish or defect.I am happy to combine shipping where practical, and where incorporating different items safely and securely in one box does not prove a nightmare.
