Very Rare PROTOTYPE Recurve to Compound Bow from the 1960's or 1970's U.S.A.This sale is for a VERY RARE Compound Prototype Bow. This is a very important bow in the Archery recurve-to-compound bow evolution. It never went into production so there are maybe a only handfull of these around. The wood handle insert is stamped "DARTON" (Last Photo), but I have been told by the Darton factory that they did not make this bow. I saw an indication online that this may be Wing Archery, but I cannot confirm that info.(If anyone has any information about this bow, please send me a message!!)Every bow collector should be lucky enough to have a Prototype bow in their corral. (This bow is very solid; nothing loose or unstable.) The wood handle insert is, however, showing its age. (Photo# 11)Length tip to tip: 48" As always, your satisfaction is GUARANTEED!!
