Now is the best and most important time to purchase this compressor to repair your FridgeMate , OR get one as a BACK-UP / SPARE . . Why is now such an important time to repair or get a 2nd Compressor for a spare ? As I have now retired out of the Fridge Mate / Waeco and SupaKool service industry , I am now selling off my remaining items ( personally owned by me ) in limited supply . Over the last fifteen years I have sold over 500 of these Compressors for $295 ea.
This genuine B model Compressor is now only $199 . Priced extremely low so everyone can have a spare one . This is your last opportunity . I am the only person in the world who sells these Fridge Mate Compressors , limited supply , don't miss out . Photos below are given as a close example of what you are buying . Your compressor may be different in colour or outside condition .
The Compressor is not new , but sold in running operational order ( no warranty ) see FAQ's Photos below are given as a close example of what you are buying . Your compressor may be different in colour or outside condition .
Priced extremely low so everyone can have a backup / Spare . Don't miss out !
Photos below are given as a close example of what you are buying . Your compressor may be different in colour or outside condition .
Now is the best and most important time to buy a Backup / Spare I am the only person in the world who sells these Compressors , limited supply , will not last
Over the last fifteen years I have sold over 500 of these Compressors at $295
My crazy low price (including a free $50 cradle -pickup only).is just $199
What do you mean by '' sold in running operational order '' ? * You say ''operational order '' , can you give me more info ? Yes the compressor has passed a full test ( 120 PSI - high side pressure ) with very little bleed back rate through the out-let valve (once the compressor has been turned off ). It also comes with the correct oil & is nitrogen sealed.
* Is the item in this auction Brand New ? No , the item has had very little use , but not sold as new , instead sold 'as is ' - ( private sale )
* Is the compressor re-conditioned ? No absolutely not . It has had almost no run time at all . For the compressors history ( see below question ). You say the compressor is not band new , so what is its background ? * Please tell me about the compressors background ? The B Model compressor ( for sale in this auction ) is what I call a factory second . In some cases the compressors were on the factory production line ( already installed into a completed FridgeMate lid ) only to have the entire Lid section rejected at the end of the line for one reasons or another ( not to do with the compressor ) . For example , if the evaporator had a scratch on it , the entire unit could not be sold , so the lid would then be broken back down into basic components . Items like the compressor would be taken out and put to one side , hence my available compressor stock .
Does the compressor come with warranty ? No * Do you offer warranty ? No . This auction is a private sale ( goods personally owned by me ) . Sold AS IS. No returns or guarantees
* You say the plastic cradle is only offered free ( only to people who can pick-up in person ) , can it be posted to me ? No free for pick-up only. Are you a Retailer / Manufacturer / Service Agent or Dealer ? NO * Are you a Retailer ? No . Private sale ( goods personally owned by me ) .
* Are you the manufacturer ? No .
* Are you a Service Agent / Dealer ? (I used to be but not any longer). I have retired out of the business . I am now selling off remaining items personally owned by me . I have also retired from the SupaKool and Waeco servicing business . Check my for / fridges and parts .
* Can you recommend any service agents ? The portable fridge business is huge , Waeco & Engel are similar in their DC make-up . You may try ..calling 1 of hundreds of their service agents . As I have been doing Fridge Mate servicing for 15 years ( Not to be confused with EvaKool / ..ICEMATE fridgemate products ) , you may find people still try and send you to me ( not knowing I've retired from FRIDGE MATE servicing). ..Again stay with the portable fridge service market ( not the domestic house hold fridge market ) . I give no undertaking to who can service a ..Fridge Mate by MiniFridge industries .
I want to ask some ( important questions about installation ) ? * Can you install the compressor for me ( for free or at a price ) , or can you offer phone support ? Sorry no to both questions .
* If I install the compressor into my fridge , or have a fridge tech do it for me and find the unit does not run , can I get a refund ? No , all compressors are fully tested by me and are in 100% mechanical operational order before being sent to you . Even though the compressor is reasonably simply to install , it is out of my control to stop people doing silly things like a suction test ( over driving the compressor ) and damaging the out-let valve , therefore I can not qualify or control other peoples installations , hence my no returns policy . It is also possible that after receiving and installing the compressor perfectly into your fridge , you may find another components stopping the overall refrigeration from working . Again this is outside of my control . If you can pick the item up in person I will be happy to give you some QUICK advise + prove your compressor is mechanically operational (120 PSI high side pressure ) , but not install it .
* How old is the item ? I'm not exactly sure as they were made over a ten year period .
I want to get my fridge guy ( tech ) to install it for me . Can you give him some key points ? YES * I have a fridge guy lined up . What are the most important things he needs to know ? If you are thinking of having a Fridge tech install the compressor for you , I highly recommend you have him read all of our FAQ's or print them out for him . I do not offer phone support , however by reading all of our FAQ's ( including the Tech Notes below ) he will have a much better chance of success .
Fridge . Tech . Notes . ( important ) 1) Never do a suction test to establish the compressors performance ( it is different to all other crank driven compressors ) . Just like an Engel compressor , if you starve the suction side ( to establish performance ) you will over drive the compressor and destroy the out-let valve . Because most fridge Technicians are taught to do a suction test , it is not possible for me to warrant someone else's installation . Make sure ( if you must do a pressure test ) you always do a high side test ( discharge ) . If the compressor can achieve at least 120 PSI ( directly out of the discharge tube , against a closed valve ) with very little bleed back (after the compressor has been turned off ) , then you have a PASS. Considering I have already tested it , you should not need to do any pressure testing .
2) The unit comes with the correct viscosity synthetic oil from the USA ( Never put your own oil in , contamination can destroy the armature)
3) Some B model compressors have the filling port on the front , these do not , so a simple quarter " T joiner on the suction side may be required
4) After you have installed the compressor and brazed all the pipes , you should evacuate the system for 10 hours ( not 1 hour as usual )
5) Begin filling the unit with about 45 to 60 grams of R12 or 134a , the back pressure ( when running for the first time , at the beginning of the pull down test ) should be about 30 PSI , this is normal , but higher than most fridge techs are use to ( never add your own oil )
6) At any time during your testing ( NEVER LET THE SUCTION PRESSURE FALL BELOW ZERO PSI )
7) If the compressor becomes more noisy than usually , it most likely means you have let ( the suction pressure fall below zero ) . If you don't take immediate action to ADD GAS or turn the unit off , you may be responsible for the destruction of the outlet valve . At this point the compressor will be a write off . Never leave the fridge (being tested) run by itself , always be there to take action .
8) The out-put voltage ( from the main PCB ) to the compressor should be 18v AC. If not I have PCB boards for sale , check my I have heard about a thing called a THRU-HULL CONNECTOR ? ( Important please read ) * Tell me more about the Thru-hull connector ? Yes this is something important we need to talk about . Let me start by explaining what a Thru-hull connector is . It is a point where the little red wire goes thru- the hull of the compressor to feed electricity to the armature . The Thru-hull connector on all original B model compressors use an epoxy to create the seal . This seal has been known as one of the weak points in a FridgeMate . The compressor sold in this auction has an original Thru-hull and is believed to be okay . However it is not possible to 100% qualify the Thru-hull until it has been installed and pressurised . Therefore ( with all good intentions ) I can not give you any undertakings that the Thru-hull connector is sealed or not . If you find it is not sealed , please remember I do not offer returns or guarantees .
* If I purchase the compressor and find the thru-hull is leaking , can you fix it for free or at a price , or can you offer phone support to my fridge tech Guy ? Sorry no to both questions . I have retired from the FridgeMate servicing business . Also to be fair , this is one of the reasons I have priced the compressor at only ( one third ) of the cost that everyone else paid for the same item ( with an upgraded Thru-hull ) over the last 15 years . Considering the normal price was $295 and the fact that there are so few of these compressors left , I believe the new low price of only $199 easily compensates for the small possibility of a Thru-hull dilemma . In the small event you find your thru-hull is leaking , I would suggest you ask your fridge guy for some input , maybe he will have some simple sealing ideas . Please remember I am not calling the Thru-hull faulty
( as I don't know that to be true ) but feel the honest thing to do is let everyone know the history of the B model compressor sold in this auction.
Do you have other auctions selling FridgeMate Spares ( like electronic Boards & 'C' Model Compressors ) ? YES * Can I buy other model electronic boards ? YES contact me, other genuine Fridgemate A B C & SupaKool Boards should be available
* Do you have compressors for these unit ? YES ( Check my , for genuine 'B' and 'C' model compressors , or send me a message .
* Do you have other auctions selling complete FridgeMate fridges YES . Please check my , to see what is available .
* Do you have other auctions selling Waeco & SupaKool fridges ( & parts ) YES . Please check my , to see what is available . * Your auction has a lot of fair but hard hitting information relating to the ( sale ) terms and conditions , why is this ?
After fifteen years in the fridge service industry I think I have just about seen and heard it all . Sadly there are always a few bad apples who will act extremely dishonestly when things go wrong , or they simply change their mind . This is mainly because of one of two reasons . A) The company or person selling an item has been too brief on the details . OR B) The person buying the item refused to do basic research or read about an item before purchasing it . My experience has taught me to put all the information / terms and conditions up front so both the buyer & seller know exactly what their position is ( before & after the sale is complete ) . However the biggest problem I still find is the unfortunate and rapid decline of ( how much time ) people will spend reading about what they are buying , or the failure to ask questions before purchasing the item . Even with my famous red flashing arrows and full size red print saying '' Did you read before bidding '' , I still get ( for example ) lots of people asking after the sale '' how much is the freight '' ? Arrr . The bottom line is - ( hard hitting or not ) I think people are lucky to come across an auction like mine with all the info up front ( good or bad ) . How many other people selling things spend the time to give the buyer every possible reason to buy , OR in my rare style of selling , even reasons not to buy ? My final thoughts on this subject are , if someone doesn't want to read my terms of sale + agree ( after all the time I have taken to write them down for their benefit ) , then I would be much happier NOT to make the sale . I just don't need the sale that badly. On the other hand I must thank you , as you did read this entire auction ( and people who read my auctions are number 1 in my book ). Thank you very much for taking the time , I hope you buy this item from me .
