Up for sale a very nice Feathered Friends Swift sleeping bag, left side zip, size large (6’ 6”). This bag was purchased about 10 years ago for colder weather camping but only ended up being used 2 or 3 times. When I got it I had them add 2 extra ounces of down to it to make it even warmer than its conservatively rated 20 degrees. At the time I was thinking about doing some colder weather - maybe even light winter - camping but but that never happened. I have stuck to my lighter 30 degree bags and this one has just not gotten used.Which is a real shame because it is a beautiful bag. With that 2 extra ounces of down I think you could conservatively rate this bag to 15 degrees or so. It is very warm and if you are reading this you probably already know about Feathered Friends quality: very high quality down and impeccable bags.The other neat thing about this bag is that it’s made with a fabric FF used to use but phased out, called Nextec EPIC fabric. Google it and you can find out about it. Basically, the DWR is woven into the fabric itself. Meaning the water repellency of the fabric is not a coating but intrinsic to the fabric and never wears out. It’s not waterproof but if you pour water on it it beads right off, pretty cool.The reason they phased that fabric out I imagine is weight: the long Swift these days comes in at 2 lb 3 oz, this bag weighs in at 2 lb 10 oz. Still pretty decent considering the extra 2 oz of fill. The EPIC fabric is definitely also more robust than what you find on some of the super lightweight bag materials these days as well.The bag was, as I said, literally used for only a couple weekend trips. I would not say it’s in “like new” condition, but it is absolutely in very good condition. Totally clean and always stored in it’s cotton storage sack in a clean, dry closet.The one thing I did manage to lose somewhere (darn it) is the stuff sack. But that is very easy to replace, and many people like to use waterproof bags or compression sacks these days. So that’s something you’ll have to acquire if you’re interested. The cotton storage bag looks new and will absolutely be included. Sorry to be long winded but I want to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting.
