Tatonka Mountain Dome large 2-person tent. Purchased in 2015, never used, immaculate. Has been set up to check when purchased and also for these pictures. The Mountain Dome is a large, robust 2-person tent. Perfect as a basecamp for use during rough weather conditions or on open sites. Using strong 11mm alloy poles it pitches simply and quickly, inner first and the flysheet attaches to the inner very securely with a cross bracing brow pole, large velcro straps and webbing straps at the base of each pole. The mesh pole sleeves are continuous and the poles slide through very easily. The flysheet is tensioned with ladderlock adjusters and anchors it all down to the ground very firmly. All fittings and fabrics are tough and robust. It is too heavy as a backpacking tent but is a really spacious and comfortable tent for two. Packed weight is around 4Kg. The storage bag is a very easy to use roll top design, much more practical than a tight stuffsack. The bright and airy inner tent has mesh vents in the roof, double entrances with optional mesh doors and good height. The bathtub floor extends well up the sides and is a robust fabric. H 110cm Vestibules each side are a useful size and have mesh backed vents at the top. Doors open from the top or bottom and the flysheet reaches down to ground level. The brow pole prevents rain entering the inner tent when the door is opened. Please note that I haven't fitted the guylines but they are included in the bag. Would make a great touring tent as it is very quick and easy to pitch and strike camp and will provide a reliable shelter when the weather turns foul. Thank you for looking ☺
