Hands down, out of my entire collection, this is my favorite Surefire E Series head. This listing includes a rarely seen modified Ribbed Surefire KL1 (Surefires E, or Executive, Series) head. The KL1 is in great condition and working order with a killer hot spot (See picture of round light beam as the KL1 is shined against a celling).  It has 3 semi noticeable blemishes in it from when it was being modified, otherwise, it’s in great cosmetic shape and fantastic operational condition. The KL1 modifications include:• Triple LED configuration installed• Internal module (“light engine” / “pill”) is made of 145 Tellurium Copper• Triple Nichia 219C D280 LEDs mounted on a Noctigon copper MCPCB.  LED tint is a neutral white rated at a 5000k color temperature. MCPCB is directly reflow soldered to the copper "pill" for optimum thermal transfer.• Direct drive FET driver (MTN-17DD) from Mountain Electronics.  FET has Guppydrv Rev2 firmware loaded to it.  By default the light will be shipped w/ user group #8 active, however, I will be happy to set it to whatever user group the buyer requests prior to shipping.  The turbo timer on this light is set to 1 minute and 15 seconds, which means that after a minute and 15 seconds of continual turbo usage the light will automatically start stepping down in power so not to damage the light engine.• Carclo 10507 – 3 Up Narrow Spot Optic• Glow gasket installed providing a pleasant post use ambiance  Using a fully charged 1x 18350 Li-Ion IMR battery; a 8 Amp reading was received, at the tail cap while switched to turbo mode, indicates roughly ~2400 lumen out the front of the KL1.  • Using a fully charged 1x 18650 Li-Ion battery; a 12 Amp reading was received, at the tail cap while switched to turbo mode, indicates roughly ~3150 lumen out the front of the KL1.  • Amp readings are completely dictated by the quality of battery used. At the time of testing I was using AW IMR 18350 & 18650 Li-Ion's. No battery is included in this sale. This light is a true pocket rocket!!The KL1 is meant to be used with a Surefire E Series body (E series body and tail cap not included in this sale).  A conversion piece from Lumens Factory (also not included) could potentially allow you to use the KL1 on other Surefire series bodies. These lights are not meant to be dropped and it is assumed that not much shock absorption is included.  Dropping the light could damage it, possibly to include permanent damage. In short, just try not to drop it! :)It is not assumed that this light is water resistant and should not be placed into water intentionally. As mentioned previously, the KL1 is intended to work with a 1x 18350 or 1x 18650 Li-Ion IMR battery ONLY. The use of any other type of battery is at the users’ risk.  No battery is included in this sale. The light will be shipped via USPS.  If you’d like to buy extra insurance, please reach out to me prior to purchase.  Will not ship internationally. Instructions for operating the lights firmware is listed below and taken directly from the MTN Electronics website.  As mentioned before, I will be happy to load whichever user group the buyer would prefers prior to shipping. If the buyer does not communicate a preferred user group than it will be set to user group #8 by default.I'm liquidating part of my collection to free up cash for another purchase so please see my other Surefire related offerings, as well as, take advantage of combined shipping.  Feel free to ask questions and I'll respond as quickly as possible.Guppydrv Rev2 Firmware Instructions:This firmware allows the ultimate in user customization, with up to 24 built-in mode groups, that the user can select via a series of button presses and a user programmable turbo timer that will automatically step the power down to 50% after the set time is hit (see below for instructions).   Low voltage protection:  With 1S cells (non-zener mod) the light will begin to step down output at around 2.8v under load.  The light will not shut completely off, but will continue to run at a moonlight level.  Rev.2 User Selectable Groups:1. 100% Only2. 5% - 100% | Memory3. 5% - 100% | No Memory4. 30% - 100% | Memory5. 30% - 100% | No Memory6. 70% - 100% | Memory7. 70% - 100% | No Memory8.
