An early 1st edition of the Bialaddin Bowl Fire heater lamp. It has an air intake knuckle, preheater feed tube and the braced frame. All new seals fitted, pump washer and a non asbestos wick. Has its guard which is rare, they normally get lost or thrown away. Lit for 3 hrs today, nice seeing what you're buying actually working. These work on a fixed wire mantle, there's no fiddling with tie on mantles. The chrome has dulled with age and the guard has some surface rust. Retailed in 1953 at £4-7s-6p, that was half a mans wage ! he would also paid 47.5% income tax !Please study all the pictures because they comprise an integral part of this description, it's an old heater lamp and as such will show signs of use, age, along with ware and tear.Will be wrapped & boxed VERY well, sent by courier and to be signed for.
