He carried 40-45 lbs. while I stayed closer to 35. No tears or rips, hiked in rain, used cover and all dry inside. Lots of pockets easy to get at and all those handy hooks. Pack was great for each our builds and was easy for each of us to customize our own pack with straps and adjustments. Not a long hike but it was arduous and straight up hill. Pack held up great. Glad we bought them. Highly recommend.
