Die leicht zu öffnende und dank einer Rückenverriegelung auch leicht zu schließende Klinge, schlägt nicht, wie oftmals bei Laguiole Messern gewohnt, auf die Rückenfeder auf, sondern wird durch einen Stopper im Inneren gebremst. Dies vermeidet bei häufigem Öffnen und Schließen Beschädigungen an der Klinge.
