This saddle has been our ranch for 70 years. It appears to be handmade and it is very well made, not like the production saddles you can buy for a few hundred dollars. It needs to be tuned up a bit, oil, some leather ties are in need of replacing, 2 conches are gone (but can be replaced). The saddle measures 12 inches to the cantle to the front of the fork. The saddle has been ridden in the Pendleton Round-Up and all the parades. Very comfortable and has a lot of life left in it. I can have the saddle tuned up for you at a local shop - very famous shop -- for about $60.00 extra.
