For sale is a brand new Segway miniPRO Personal Transportation device! Not to be confused with the cheap and unreliable "hoverboards" of Christmas past, this device is made by Segway and is truly the next level in personal transportation. This is the first device of its kind to become UL 2272 Certified for electrical and fire safety (i.e. third party testing with stringent standards). This thing is a joy to ride -- I have one myself and while it takes a little getting used to, it is the most fun you've had on two wheels in a long time! It is fully legal in most communities to ride this on local roads (it is classified like an electric bike in most places, but check your local laws/regulations prior to purchase). Furthermore, the DOJ has updated ADA requirements to specifically include Segways in the required list of mobility devices alongside wheelchairs and other power-driven mobility devices. It's a great way for someone with less mobility to get around!Thanks to 10.5" Pneumatic tires, this transporter can handle some bumps in the road and uneven terrain. Again, it takes some getting used to, but I've taken mine across the lawn and over uneven sidewalks with ease once I got used to moving on it. Steering is smooth and comfortable using the precision steering knee bar. The bar height is fully adjustable.This device has a lot of cool features -- including app control from your phone. You can remotely control the device (when nobody is standing on it) to roll over to you or you can lock and alarm it for theft protection.Furthermore, it can handle a nice distance -- it has a 14 mile range and 10mph speed, meaning that you're looking at the potential for almost 90 minutes of full-speed riding on a charge.
