This is a 16" Bob's Custom Pleasure/Reiner Show Saddle. It has the Bob’s Custom Saddles stamp on the billet strap holder and the bottom of both fenders. This saddle is in excellent used condition, ready for the show ring. Underside of fenders have slight darkening from horse sweat (visible in photos). Always stored in heated/air conditioned tack room when not at a show. This saddle is hand tooled basket weave and leaves pattern in a gorgeous pecan color. Rawhide wrapped wood tree with full quarter horse bars. Horn is 3” at its tallest point, 2 ½” diameter with basket weave pattern on top. Full sterling silver package: 4 rear corner plates, 4 front corner plates, 2 pommel swell plates, full cantle plate, gullet has 5 conchos and the other saddle conchos have futurity tips. Silver pattern is a classic scroll with wavy edges and a circular concho shape in the center of each corner plate. Classy, western silver pattern that will never go out of style or be hard to match. The 16" seat is toast colored suede with a wide twist like a reiner plus the pleasure/equitation roll. Suede has slight discoloring from dark colored chaps, but nothing obvious when you are sitting in the saddle. It has a 2" cantle with a 1 ¾” wide sterling silver plate. The overall skirt length at the longest point is 29". There is a drop of 15 1/2" at the longest point at the back of saddle, 13” drop at front of saddle. It has a close contact butterfly style skirt and under is real wool lined, see photos for slight discolor. The pre-wrapped, pre-turned fenders lay perfectly. Width at the widest point of the fender is 9 1/2". The stirrup leather is 3” latigo lined, with 14 numbered holes, the leathers under fenders have NOT been cut short and are the original full length. Leather covered stirrups are basket weave pattern and have a 3 1/2" wide footbed. Conchos on stirrups are slightly different pattern of silver and may not be sterling, I do not believe the stirrups are original to the saddle but they match and have barely been used (I used my silver engraved sides pair of wooden stirrups). Rigging hardware is stainless steel. The weight of this saddle is approximately 33 lbs. This beautiful saddle will stand out in the show pen! Fits a variety of horses, I have had it on Arabians, Half Arabians, Quarter Horses and Paints.
