This is the  current "Nanoshield" version of the Black Diamond Skylight ultra-light 3 Person tent.  Its a high tech tent in super good condition that has been expertly seam sealed, its tricked out and ready to go right now. This tent employs an innovative high tech fabric that sheds precip like silnylon but also breathes.  The fabric is distinctive in that the individual threads are treated with a siliconizing chemical process.  These treated threads are then woven and the final fabric is then given a permanent coating on both sides to increase hydrostatic performance and reduce wetting out of the fabric.  Up to a certain level of ambient humidity and temperature conditions, the fabric will breathe.   Thus, so long as there is a sufficient moisture gradient across the fabric membrane, condensate from occupant respiration will dissipate through the fabric and not form droplets on the inside of the tent the way silnylon is prone to do. The fabric has the feel of nitril, it sheds moisture like a duck's back, and if it gets soiled, its performance can be restored simply by washing it according to BD's instructions,  and then tossing it into the dryer at a medium/low temperature.  Essentially, the Nanoshield technology performs similarly to your Goretex or eVent rain jacket, only instead of an EPTF membrane, it uses a woven siliconized material.  Its the best there is. In fact, there is no other single wall ultra light 3 Person tent available on the market. This tent will out perform most other 3 person ultra-light tents based on silnylon or nylon canopies that are coated with both a polyurethane and silicon coatings, and has the structural integrity to stand up to serious inclement weather.  It is at home in high altitude conditions and is favored as an ultra light mountaineering shelter for two or more climbers due to the versatility of its design.  It is strong, it is durable, can be effectively secured using guy points,  and will not blow apart in high winds like your typical ultra light offerings that use gossamer rain flies and single spine or other non-crossing pole designs. IN short, this is an elite, high performance tent that is equally at home in the desert, the northern woodlands, and high alpine venues.  It is easy to set up without exposing the interior of the tent to the elements due to the exceptional design of the vestibule, one of its greatest features. It is way better than messing with removing and reattaching a separate rain fly.   In great weather, pealing back the vestibule gives the feeling of hanging out in an enclosed porch, with fresh air flow and great sky views.  For privacy or when expecting inclement weather, the vestibule can be closed up and re-secured to the corner pegs and the tent transforms into a near bomber shelter.   It packs up small (about the size of a foot ball if you use a compression sack, is ridiculously light weight, and is a snap to stow in a panier, backpack or saddle bag. Its a very cool tent that will easily accommodate a couple and a pet or child, and three adults in a pinch.  It also sets up quick.  Once pegged out, we can be in this tent and out of the weather in less than 60 seconds (with some practice).  From there, the poles can be secured against a blustery wind by fastening up the internal Velcro wraps.  The tent has excellent guy out points that hold the tent in place when conditions really get serious.  This is one of the only ultra-light 3P tents available that has the performance envelop of a two person mountaineering bivy.  Light weight. Hardcore.  Black Diamond.  This particular tent has been superbly well cared for, expertly seam sealed and is in near top condition overall. There are some of the usual signs of prior use from pitching in dusty wilderness campsites.  Its hard to be disappointed with this tent.  Its a great shelter for road trips (bike, motorcycle, car), for park and wilderness backpacking trips, and high alpine excursions.  The tent retails out for $400, and can be found for less.  The advantage of this tent is that it is ready to go out of the box.   It takes 4 solid hours to properly seam seal this tent. Unless you know what you are doing, paying four bills for a brand  tent only to ruin it by making a mess of the seam sealing  is a total bummer.  Avoid all that and pick this tent up. You'll be glad you did.  The package includes the tent body, guy lines (pre-rigged), poles, the tent sack and pole sack. Enjoy!
