Up for sale is a superb Hilleberg Staika two-person, four-season tent. It was used for a tent review in Overland Journal magazine, then a half-dozen times more; it is in virtually new condition. If you're looking at this, you are probably already aware of the reputation of Hilleberg tents. They are among the very finest on the market, and are used in conditions when one's life might very well depend on the tent's ability to withstand wind, rain, and snow. The fly is silicone-impregnated nylon, far stronger and more UV resistant than the common polyurethane-coated flies of lesser tents. All construction details are the best they can be. Please go to the Hilleberg site for much more information. Note that the current retail on the Staika is $995.The Staika is roomy for two people, each of whom will have his own full-size door and identical vestibule. The tent is fully free-standing; even the vestibules are supported by the 10mm aluminum-alloy DAC poles (however, all tents should always be staked down if possible). Plentiful guylines allow the tent to remain anchored and stable through even the worst blow. The full-coverage fly sheds wind, rain, and snow, yet with both vestibules and outer doors open, dual screen inner doors facilitate full flow-through ventilation in warm weather. With everything buttoned up, covered peak vents still allow warm, moist air to exit the roof, reducing condensation—a rare feature in a dome tent.I'm selling the Staika because I have three other Hilleberg tents. Enough is enough!
