Every once in a while, we get a piece of history in that we love to study and learn from. Here is one of those moments. This Fallis Balance Ride is an oldie, but goodie. It has seen lots of work, long hours, and a handful of repairs-but is sound and ready for far more. The rigging is tight as a whistle, surprising for the age of the saddle, and still soft and supple as the day it was made. It is a 6/6.25 inch gullet with a moderate fork with very flat bars, making it a great option for mules. It comes fully fitted. It has had the seat moved up to avoid pinching, reinforcements to the lower fender, a few patches put in on the wool, and the latigo holders replaced. It has new rubber wrapping and roping stirrups.
