This is a Heiser-Keyston-Lichtenburg Western Trail Saddle in good used condition.This saddle was made in the USA from the finest materials and the quality of workmanship is obvious. It has the maker's logo on both fenders and behind the cantle. It is number 567 and has a 15" seat (the seat size is also stamped on it). It has a rawhide wrapped wood tree and weighs 38 lbs. with the bags and cinch.It has leather-wrapped stirrups that adjust with Blevins buckles and brass, in-skirt rigging. It measures 6-1/4" across at the base of the gullet and looks like FQHB to me.This saddle has seen some use and shows some wear with the expected scuffs and discolorations from use. The thickness and quality of the leather is exceptional. It has clearly been well cared for and kept in a heated tack room. The leather is in great shape with no weather damage, major scrapes, loose stitches, broken or damaged areas. The genuine sheepskin fleece underside is showing some wear but is still in good shape.This was part of an estate so I'm selling it with all of the items that came with the saddle. There are Eddie Bauer saddle bags with basket weave flaps that are laced onto the back of the saddle. Tied to the back strings is a nice leather breast collar. It includes a Schultz Bros. bridle with brass hardware, thick leather split reins and a copper snaffle bit. There is also a mohair string cinch with leather and sheepskin end covers and a black, red and white woven saddle pad with suede wear leathers. I tried to take pictures of all angles so you could really see what you're getting but please let me know if you need any other measurements or info.Why buy new?
