The Nemo Andi is a durable but light weight hybrid single wall tent intended primarily for 3 season use, but can be adapted for light winter use. With the Andi, Nemo solved the problem of the breathability of light weight single wall recreational tents by creating a large single vestibule on one side with a mesh inner wall that zips open from corner to corner and across the top. Its the same design Nemo employs on the Quantum Elite ultra light single wall tent, and similar to the door design on the Nano Elite. With the back vent opened up, air flow and ventilation through the vestibule is excellent, and more than sufficient to ward off excessive condensation. This open sidewall/spacious vestibule "hybrid" design is excellent for recreational tents. With dimensions of 59" W x 93" L x 42" H, the interior of this tent is spacious for two, and a palace for one. With the vestibule staked out and zipped up, the total enclosed space is nearly 50 sq ft. That's like a college dorm!Everything about this tent is top quality and made with the highest degree of workmanship typical of all Nemo tents. The Andi employs the Nemo OSMO ePTFE laminated ripstop nylon fabric. Its the same material used on Nemo's single wall mountaineering class tents (Moki, Tenshi). It is super strong, impermeable to water but is breathable. The vestibule uses Nemo's incredibly light weight 20D coated micro ripstop nylon. This material is almost gossamer, but is extremely tough and abrasion resistent. The tent floor is made of coated nylon taffeta. All of these fabrics receive an excellent DWR trreatment at the factory and precip just beads up and runs off like a ducks back. The other very notable feature of this tent is that it employs external pole sleeves that are flush with the outer tent surface. The poles thread nicely through opening on each on of the front of the tent and get pushed though until they get seated at the far corner cordura footing. Then the front end of the pole gets placed in one of the three grommets on the corner tab depending on how taut you want the canopy to be. So, the set up is quick and easy and allows the tent to be erected in inclement weather without ever exposing the interior to the elements. So, when you get into the tent, its all dry. Nice!!Its incredible that Nemo could make a tent this durable and this large and still keep the weight of the tent and the poles to less than 4 lbs. No only that, the tent body packs down in dry sack to less than the size of a volley ball, something like 8" x" 10, with the poles stowed separately in their own sack.If you want to, you can actually set this tent up for 4 season use. Nemo sells a fitted "curtain" that covers the mesh panel and door that attaches to loops located above the zipper track of the door. It seals out the wind and spindrift and helps retain heat inside the tent. This is a very cool tent which is durable, remarkably light weight, spacious and functional, extremely well made, and..., not for nothing, very easy on the eyes. This example is in excellent used condition. An application of urethane tent seal has been applied to protect the bottom corners from abrasion when the pole ends get seated, and to protect the fabric from further wear and tear. Other than that, the tent is practically pristine, with only signs of minimal use. This tent is a great option for cyclists/bikers as well as canoeist/kayakers and is light enough to take on extended back packing trips and still serve a stalwart shelter to retreat into when the weather turns serious and the winds get strong enough to blow the flysheet right off your buddy's super ultralight tent. Not to worry, there's enough room in the Andi to accommodate him and his stuff. In short, the Andi is a really nice tent that will serve you well no matter where you take it from the Spring to the late Fall. Included in the sale is the tent body, stakes, stake sack, poles, pole sack, footprint, mesh footprint sack, and the outer dry bag style stuff sack, all of which are pictured in the last two photos. If you are interested in this tent, feel free to make an offer. I will consider it.
