VINTAGE LIMMER QUALITY! EXCELLENT USED VINTAGE CONDITION! WORN VERY LITTLE! HANDMADE IN GERMANY!MAKE AN OFFER! WE LOVE RECEIVING YOUR OFFERS... AND WE RESPOND PROMPTLY!SHIPS TO USA ADDRESSES ONLY, INTERNATIONAL BUYERS USE EBAY'S GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM.From the makers.:The craft of bootmaking requires at least six years to master, but Limmer® has always taken a little more besides. In an era of instant gratification, a handmade Limmer® boot requires no less than 12 hours of intricate human labor and an equal amount of drying time. When they consented to employ some production methods that weren’t entirely by hand, Limmer cousins, Karl and Peter III, were scrupulous to preserve every characteristic feature of their custom made boot for an audience that doesn’t require a custom fit. Limmer® boots have been used on every type of terrain, including the slopes of Mount Everest, but part of its uniqueness remains its crossover quality. It combines the flexibility of a hiking boot with the kind of strength that can carry a loaded pack over rocky terrain and also be used with flexible crampons. There have been few design changes in the Limmer® story. Where technological advances in materi- als have made it possible to improve the quality and performance of the product, those changes have been incorporated. (For example, replacing hobnails with molded rubber soles for a lighter boot.) Pure change, however, has never been embraced for its own sake. The clean, exquisite simplicity of its design has never been abandoned in favor of a fad or faster method. A single piece of leather with a short seam at the instep and a seamless heel remains their trademark. In an age where product cycles have grown shorter and shorter, Limmer® boots have changed very little and are often characterized by their extraordinary longevity. A long history with proven virtues has established the Limmer® name as consistent with added value.
