Please read the entire description prior to bidding, thank you!15'' Western Saddle from a Montana Saddle Company in excellent condition. The saddle was used on two BLM Spanish Mustangs of drastically different body shapes. One was narrow shoulders with a flat back (he filled out so it no longer fits him through the shoulders and the other was a higher withered mare. It still fits her but she is retired due to a stifle injury. Measures 7'' gullet with a 5'' rise in front (the arch under the horn), semi bars. This post has been updated as I am selling the expensive extras used with the saddle separately as no one wanted to pay a fraction of what it was worth. However this saddle was refleeced not too long ago and is still thick and in great shape. It also has like new brown nylon billet and cinch strap used for a few rides as well as Amish made black leather stirrups and stirrup straps. I will be removing those and selling them separately as well if the saddle doesn't sell soon and I do not have the original stirrups that were on the saddle. I did touch up some minor wear on the saddle seat but it didn't take probably because I didn't see it works best right after cleaning the saddle. It has recently been clean, conditioned, stored inside and covered when not in use. I regularly cleaned and oiled the leather so it beautiful. The seat fits true to size and is padded. Very comfortable. Nice for pleasure, trail riding or training. Could also add some bling and use it as a show saddle...the color is stunning on the right horse. It is not a no name, poorly made saddle. I just don't recall the saddle maker because some of the smaller leather pieces and saddle ties were getting dry rot so they were removed and tossed as I intended to keep the saddle for a long time to come, but my horse decided to fill out finally at the ripe old age of 13! I purchased this saddle second hand. It was originally a man's saddle so the stirrups go extra long, but I took it into a local Amish leather/saddle worker &tack shop. They added holes to the stirrup straps so it can adjust up to fit someone around 5'0'' with short legs as well. It is made specifically for an Arabian horse, but even they come in different shapes and sizes. This works best for a young narrow horse just starting out or a higher withered flat backed horse. Both of the horse it was used on were build like ponies 14h and under. This saddle is in great shape! I hate to part with it, but my horse needs a saddle with full bars, maybe a slightly wider gullet or even a gaited saddle. I am open to full or partial trades. I'm not looking for anything fancy to trade with as long as the saddle is in good working condition. There are no frills to this saddle. The leather has been cleaned & conditioned every month since I've owned it. It has been in no accidents since I've had it either. I did have the Amish tack store check the quality/structure of the saddle when making adjustments. It is sound, not just something I pulled out of my barn and am trying to sell for more than its worth! Stored inside, covered, no dry rot. Light normal, wear visible under fender from where the stirrup rubs. Minor wear to the back of the seat recently touched up with Fieberg's black saddle paint. Measures 15'' if you are used to measuring straight across the saddle seat or 15.5'' if you are used to measuring diagonally across the seat. Western girth & saddle pad not included. It is a two-toned medium oil/black saddle with a sun tanned finished giving it a variegated look. Round skirt, lighter weight feel. I WILL SELL THIS WITHOUT THE NEW STIRRUPS FOR A LOWER PRICE HOWEVER...Please note I no longer have the original stirrups, so it would be sold without stirrups at this price.Due to the nature of the item, no returns accepted.
