MSR HUBBA HP SOLO LIGHTWEIGHT BACKPACKING TENT wild camping
Estimated price for orientation: 112 $
Category: Tents
Class:
Description Main Colour: Green MPN: Does Not Apply Brand: MSR EAN: Does not apply
The HP is the European version of Mountain Safety Research's Hubba solo tent, with a more subtle green colour, deeper flysheet and less mesh on the inner. It's an ideal tent for wild camping and solo backpacking, designed for comfort, but of minimal weight and packed size, and it blends in well with the surroundings. If you're not familiar with the tent, I suggest you read the review in Scottish Mountaineer, The genuine all-up weight (poles, supplied pegs and stuffsacks), weighed by us, is 1381g. However, you will find that the delivered tent weighs an extra 28g, as we have added three extra genuine MST needle pegs (making a total of nine).
As you will see in the main photograph, you won't always need to use the guys (there are four fitted.)One of the greatest virtues of the Hubba and some other MSR tents is the inner height around the edges. If you dislike lying down with tent fabric just a few inches from your face, the Hubba will be an instant hit with you. This particular tent is one of a pair that were bought for Tripsdale Expedition product developers, but unlike its twin, it has been pitched only once at Tripsdale's premises to check it, but never actually used. (The main photograph is from a review and the others are official MSR pics.)The tent goes up in very little time and without fuss.
