This is an original, 1976, NOS, Z-FLEX, EZ Ryder, fiberglass, skateboard made by Kent Sherwood who, as we know, was Jay Adams step-dad. Measures 27" x 6.5". This rare deck is signed by original Dogtown team members Jay Adams (R.I.P.), Tony Alva, Jim Muir and Paul Constantineau. Also, signed by Jeff Ho of Jeff Ho surfboards and Zephyr Productions, who helped bring the original Dogtown team together. This board was signed by everyone, except Jay-Boy, at a 2002 promotional tour-stop in Phoenix, Arizona for "Dogtown and Z-Boys". Jay Adams signed it, separately, in 2010 in Hawaii. Not only did Jay sign it but, he verified the "EZ Ryder Original Z" along with his autograph. I wanted this board sooo bad in 1976. So, my parents made a 14 year-old mow lawns and pick weeds in 110 degree temperatures, in Phoenix, Arizona, to acquire a "work-ethic". After learning these torturous skills they bought the board for me, anyway. In secret rebellion style I bought an additional, identical board, with the money I saved, without their permission nor knowledge. So god-damned punk rock! I've kept it all these years. These boards came undrilled and the holes were drilled by an over zealous 14 year-old...me! Not too bad but, not the greatest. (Still critical of my work to this day...go figure). Light scratches and scuffs due to 40+ years of...life. The identical board my parents bought for me is in the last photograph, signed by Tony and Jay...ONLY, and is NOT part of this sale.. Nor will it ever be for sale. The only reason (if there is a reasonable one) for this sale is to repair my injured truck...to get to work...to pay the bills...ect. If not, oh well.
