18" Wide Stubben Romanus All Purpose English Saddle in Bicolor Black and Caramel The saddle: This appears to be a stunning, bicolor Stubben Romanus VSD All purpose English Saddle. It's geared towards flat work (VSD -very slightly dressage), but is versatile enough that you will have no problem shortening the stirrups and taking a few small jumps as well. The top color is black, and the bottom color is a medium caramel color. This look will sure get you noticed, very stylish! The saddle has small knee blocks in the front, and 3 billets on each side. It's perfect for those English Pleasure and Hunter under Saddle classes as well. If you enjoy riding outside on trails, you will appreciate the comfort and security of the slightly deeper seat along with the ability to easily jump any obstacles you encounter. The fit: This saddle appears to be an 18" seat size, which fits the average to slightly bigger adult rider. The flaps are approximately 16 3/4" long. There saddle is stamped 30cm, and plus 3 cm has been handwritten. This saddle has been professionally adjusted to a wide size, equivalent to about 32-33cm Stubben size of wide. It measures 6" from point to point as shown in the picture. This saddle should fit well on a variety of horses with rounder backs and less withers, such as quarter horses, some Arabs, and draft crosses. For best fit we recommend each saddle be flocked and adjusted by a qualified fitter to achieve the best possible fit for your horse. The condition: This is a used saddle in good condition. There is some fading of the leather as can be expected with a used saddle, and there are small scratches and nicks in the leather. The light brown also has darkened in places, but this is under the flaps and not visible (see pictures of the stirrup flap underside).There are no rips or tears, and the tree and billets appear strong.
