Absolutely fantastic Made In England buffalo leather Saddleseat cutback saddle. Sooooo hard for me to part with this. By FAR my favorite Saddleseat Saddle I have ever ridden in. But....I've retired my horse and with two shoulder replacements and facing a third and advanced arthritic shoulders I've come to terms with the fact my days of riding a big moving Saddleseat horse are 99% surely over. Plus if I had to admit It the 20 inch seat is probably a bit to small for me these days! It's taken me three years to come to terms with parting with this but here goes. This saddle is made with super soft buffalo leather that is so supple you can literally fold it (see photo) and it is very, very secure. I believe it is a Medium tree however it certainly fit a wide purebred and wide national show horse perfectly. I was a novice saddle seat rider when I purchased this direct from Schneiders and let me tell you this saddle took care of me. This was the initial edition of the "Battaglia Millennium" and in my honest opinion the best. The saddles have gotten "bulkier" for lack of a better term, especially in the seat, and I believe less naturally comfortable and less feeling of closeness to the horse. I've ridden in the Arabian Saddle co cutback, Shively MMX and a newer Millennium and this remains my all time favorite. It fit both my purebred wide bodied 15.2 hand Arabian as well as my 16+ hand big bodied national show horse and a friends Saddlebred and Morgan. It should be a good fit for most any gaited horse. The seat is very soft and this was their deep seat model but it is not particularly as deep as some deep seats are. I liked this as rather than fixing me in a set spot that was difficult to move in I could sit back as far as I liked. It has 5 position adjustable stirrup bars. The girth is the matching Millennium girth in size 44 and again, worked on my PB and NSH. It retails-on sale-at $130. Very nice girth soft and supple and never ever chafed. The leathers are by M. Toulouse-they do have some extra holes punched in them(I am short!) but are very high quality and retail for $100+ the Fillis stirrups are in very nice shape and also included is the hunter green padded saddle bag/carrier. All together this would retail for over $3000 if purchased new so what a great opportunity! The saddle is in good preowned condition the only way I can fault it is the fading of the leather on the skirts of the saddle from legs rubbing. This could be dyed and neatsfoot oil would also probably darken the flaps but I leave that option to its new owner-rider. This area is of course covered by leg and jacket flaps when showing so I never bothered. Other than that it is in excellent condition with the billets strong and stitching all fine. There is a spot on one of the underneath flaps where inetched very lightly "Hall" for identification purpose in case of theft, you'd have to look to see it and it is of course  on the underside so not visible. I never used a plate so no holes in the cantle. The seat is super soft  comfy and the underside panels are nice and softly padded. Your horse will like this saddle! This particular edition of the Millennium is very hard to come by. RARE offering. Made in England by Joseph Sterling this is one great cutback! Shipping will be $65 to lower 48 states and if less I will refund the difference. If using buy it now option I will include shipping and insurance for free. For what it's worth....LUCKY saddle.
