Made in Germany this saddle is a multi-purpose saddle. The OPTIMA is Courbette's most versatile close contact and multi-purpose saddle. It's ergonomic design is for riders who enjoy several disciplines, and who like to do it all in one saddle. Handcrafted on Courbette's Federbaum" spring tree with recessed stirrup bars. The medium deep seat is wider than most, soft padded and has a narrow twist for rider comfort. The semi cut-back low pommel allows a close contact fit, even on horses with high and/or long withers. Most importantly, the low pommel does not interfere with the rider. A generous sitting area provides proper support and encourages the rider's full use of seat and back. The flaps are slightly longer and straighter than on ordinary close contact saddles - allowing a leg position judges will appreciate. Soft padded knee inserts over long concealed knee rolls emphasize the versatility of the truly remarkable OPTIMA. Adjustable and removable rear blocks on Velcro offer precision support and peace of mind. The German saddles are also equipped with Wool Flocked panels. Courbette's well trained saddle makers are experts in their field. They are fully aware of the great importance of properly stuffed panels. The panels are the real link between rider, saddle and horse's back. It is their job to protect the horse, to keep the back cool and to allow the animal the freedom of movement to preform pain free at all levels of competition. Courbette's panels are designed to distribute the rider's weight evenly over a large area. The traditional panels are lined with calfskin and increase the value and fitting characteristics of all Courbette's German saddles. This is a saddle that can be handed down from generation to generation and never look used. Soft leather, cleaned regularly and stored covered in a dust free tack room.No returns.
