The GOTLAND 6 is an extremely spacious 6-berth family tent which is quick and easy to erect and at the same time offers greatest protection, even in high winds. The 200 cm peak height allows best possible freedom of movement and the generous living area provides ample space for all your belongings, a cosy retreat for the family on cooler evenings or extra sleeping space for unexpected guests. The sewn-in groundsheet offers protection from draughts, damp and also unwanted creepy-crawlies. The breathable inner tent material helps keep the climate inside the tent comfortable and mesh on the sleeping pod and main entrances keeps out any unwelcome midges. The large main entrance can be kept open using the upright poles included, creating a useful sunshade. Extra mesh/PVC windows at the rear of the tent also add to the comfortable climate inside the tent. Handy extras include practical organiser pockets and a hook in the roof to hang a camping lantern. The numerous doors and windows make the tent extremely bright and airy and the generous sleeping pod has a central divider which can be rolled down to make two separate sleeping areas. The GOTLAND 6 offers a fantastic 5,000 mm water column, giving you and your family excellent protection from even the nastiest of British weather. The water column describes the quality and strength of the waterproofing of a tent and 5,000 mm is the highest available quality for family tents; most tents offer 3,000 mm or lower. The poles are strong, yet flexible and made of shatter-proofed fibreglass. The two upright poles for the entrance are made of steel. The tent comes in a handy bag with full assembly instructions and all the accessories you need (guy ropes, tent pegs etc.). A repair kit is also included - accidents can happen! Indications Assembly instructions-Please follow these instructions point by point in the given order. Poles and components: Remove all contents from tent bag.
Extent all tent poles carefully.
Unfold inner tent and rain fly and lay on ground.
Rain fly: Unfold the flysheet and spread out on the ground in the desired direction.
Locate the sleeve sections of the roof and insert the poles into the sleeves.
Locate one end of the pole on one side of flysheet and insert the metal pin system into the end of the pole. Make sure poles locate into correct pin system (all poles follow corresponding flysheet seams to pin system).
Push the opposite side of the pole up into an arch shape and insert the second pin.
The flysheet should now be ready for pegging out. Close all zips on the flysheet before pegging. You may find it necessary to adjust the pegging point in order to get the overall lay of the flysheet fabric smooth and free from wrinkles or folds. Once you are satisfied you can then peg out the rest of the loops.
Attach the guy ropes to all the guying points and peg securely at a suitable distance from the tent.
Inner tent: Take an inner tent inside the assembled rain fly to its appropriate location.
Starting from the rear of the inner tent, stake down the corners along the bottom edge of the rain fly.
Hook the inner tent to the underside of the rain fly starting from the bottom rear and work your way forward to the top using the toggles on the outer wall of the inner tent and loops running along the underside of the rain fly.
Repeat the above steps for the rest of the inner tents - you can leave some of the inner tents out to increase the living or storage capacity and to reduce the travel weight of the whole tent.
