MacRider (Mac Rider) Grand Prix Jumping Cross Country Saddle 18 inch
Estimated price for orientation: 1 700 $
Category: Saddles
Class:
Description Color: Black Country/Region of Manufacture: Netherlands Brand: MacRider Model: Grand Prix Saddle Size: 18" MPN: Does Not Apply Saddle Type: Eventing UPC: Does not apply
I admit to being a Devoucoux fan for my jumping saddle. The only issue is the foam flocking. So try to send the darn thing back to FRANCE to be reflocked. The whole COUNTRY shuts down for the month of August. So I've had to branch out. The MacRider is wool flocked and the leather is just as nice..and I will say that it is possibly a more secure, better balanced saddle. MacRider broke into the market with fab dressage saddles and then branched into the jumping saddle venue with two models. The Grand Prix is the traditional model. It's short billet design works for either the eventing crowd or the jumper ring. It has well placed calf rolls and thigh blocks to keep you snugly in place. This model was a demo..the tree is NOT adjustable. It is currently set for a M tree. It is marked "SL" (for what that's worth). It DOES have a small dye issue under the rider's leg near the bottom of one flap. I could not get it to photograph well...the dye has faded or rubbed off. It is under the leg area and not visible when the rider is riding. This saddle retails for nearly $4500.
