Detente Argus Dressage Saddle17.5" WideBlack with long billets Serge panels. (Horses love the comfort of serge flocked panels.)Purchased from Advanced Saddle Fit, a U.S. distributor of the Detente saddles. It was a demo saddle condition from Advanced Saddle Fit. Flocking and saddle well cared for. I bought the saddle to use while I was having a saddle made. I loved this one. My horse was between sizes and headed for extra wide. Hence, I didn't ride it but for a few months. My horse was a big boned part Friesian horse. I also rode it comfortably on an Arabian. Panels were good on the shape of their backs. Serge panels well liked by my picky gelding. He likes comfort too.The saddle has been stored for a year or so in my climate controlled tack room in it's cover. I don't have a horse to fit it, so it is time to find it a home to enjoy the ride. You can show or take a lesson and feel effective and in the right position. You can ride it out cross country and feel comfortable and secure.
In the words of the distributor-It is built on a tree that is horse friendly. It is often referred to as the comfort food of saddles.Is a good choice for horses with good bone and an average warmblood back. Not very broad or flat not high withered and roofy.The seat is broad and non-restrictive allowing the rider to align naturally.The Detente saddles are bench made in Walsall England.This saddle is used and in good condition. There is a small change in the intensity of the black color from riding. Billets in good serviceable condition. Any marks are just normal wear from use. Leather has been conditioned and cared for routinely.Billets-point and swing billet with nylon keeper to attach another billet. It does have wither gussets to keep it from sliding forward. A fitter can enhance or decrease flocking on them to fit your horse.No trials, sorry. I need to sell to buy an XW. I am a private individual seller.Payment by Paypal.
