DESCRIPTIONThe Gregory Makalu Pro 70 is one of the best large capacity packs ever made! Load-carrying comfort is not sacrificed, as the tried and true Gregory suspension system is in place. Weight saving comes from stripping out unnecessary features and using Spectra nylon for the pack body. It's a great design combination I can't believe more pack brands don't utilize.Often comfort is sacrificed in the harness system for sake of saving weight, not here. Carry comfort is the starting point of this design. So many packs these days are filled with so many features, all they do is add weight, make things complicated and create more things to go wrong.The Makalu Pro 70 by Gregory is a tried and true alpine expedition favorite. This large capacity pack lightweight pack is ideal for carrying large loads comfortably. This heavy duty pack is constructed from Spectra fabrics for strength and durability in the mountains and will hold up to the most extreme abuse.This pack was only used once during a three week mountaineering and ice climbing expedition in Washington state. This pack performed exceptionally with 80-100 pound loads without creating back shoulder or hip soreness and allowing a optimal freedom of movement. I have since switched to a smaller capacity pack but this was far and above the best large capacity pack that I have used.
