When temperatures drop you will be well prepared in the warmest sleeping bag the Elite range has to offer, this bag was designed with expeditions in mind and combines excellent thermal properties with the freedom of movement offered by the unique easy to deploy EPS Expanda Panel System. Performance is further enhanced with the addition of the space age Reflectatherm metalized barrier.This expedition mummy style sleeping bag is comfort rated for 5° but has an extreme rating of -4° F so you can weather out unexpected temperature drops that can come out of nowhere above the tree line. A draft tube at the neck prevents heat loss to keep valuable body heat where you need it. There is a zippered chest pocket to keep essentials such as headlamps readily available.This bag features an expansion panel system that helps regulate your temperature on warmer nights. This feature is a baffle system with an additional zipper to extend the draft tube outward; expanding the bag and creating more room inside to keep you cooler. You can zip the tube back in on colder nights so you have less space to heat to keep you warmer. Clips are included so you can shorten the bag so you are more exposed on cooler nights, or adjusted for smaller users.Softie synthetic insulation is lightweight and retains warmth even when wet because it won't compress and lose its loft like down will. Reflectatherm metalized fabric helps retain more of your body heat by reflecting it back to you. This bag is lightweight at 5.3 pounds so it won't overburden your pack. Using the included stuff sack, it collapses to 12.6 x 10.2" so it won't take up too much space.
