The Backroadz® SUV tent takes camping to a whole new level -- right in the back of your open-bed pickup truck or connected to your SUV! Its portable design assembles easily, so you can get your adventure off the ground. A sewn-in floor on pickup tent models ensures you won't have to wash your truck bed prior to use; the SUV model allows you to use your vehicle's cargo area for storage or extra sleeping spaces.***PRODUCT REVIEWS******I purposely waited until we had a chance to use the tent before writing this review. We used this tent in an F150 with a BestTop roll up style bed cover. From the earlier reviews we did a practice run putting the tent up before going on our trip. The first time was slightly cumbersome, but not bad. Once we had it, it was easy the next several times we put it up and down. Quality was good and nothing broke or malfunctioned until the very last day. The string which held the green pole together broke the final time we disassembled the tent for the ride home. I'm going to try to get a replacement and will update this with the results. I'll I felt as if the bed of the truck was adequately protected. The experience of using the tent was great. We camped in Colorado with weather down to 40F and up to 85F. It rained multiple times during our trip. The tent never leaked. It did have condensate, but it did not leak. The tent has a net at the top. We used this to hold our iPad and watch movies at night which was fun. The interesting part of our trip was we had to use our truck every day during the trip. I built a platform for a bed in the truck which had to be removed before removing the tent. We didn't want to disassemble the entire setup each day so I simply removed the poles, unhooked the straps and folded the tent into the back of the truck then rolled the bed cover over it all. This worked great. It also allowed me to take down and put up the tent several times in this one trip. I became pretty quick at putting it up. With help it could pop right up in 10 minutes. All of the clips and straps held strong through all of this up and down with the tent. As mentioned before, the only issue with any hardware was the string on the green pole.Even with that one issue I think this tent is of very good quality and worthy of a high ranking. It handled the weather nicely, was simple to set up and take down and had as much room as one could possibly expect in a tent for a short bed truck. I'm happy with the purchase. One thing you'll need to get used to is everyone asking about the tent. We had a lot of people stop by and look at the setup.UPDATE:Napier customer service proved to be fantastic. They sent a replacement green pole quickly. We are still very happy with this purchase. This review was for a 5x5 tent!***I'll start by saying my wife loved it. I could end it right there for most of you! If she's pleased then we are all happy. I purchased the 8' version and fitted it to an F350 with a long bed. Fitment was great. I put it up by myself and the wife helped with the rain fly. Easy-peasy!We stayed two nights in it with a air mattress. Camp was about a 1/4 mile from the boat ramp and I just left the tent on when we unloaded and loaded the boat. The speed limit was 10 mph. I accidentally dragged a tree branch that was hanging low. It was an oak tree and when we heard the branch crack I looked at the wife and said "uh oh!" We got out and the tent was unphased. Not a scratch.I may make a sign next time we go. I made more friends because of the tent. People stopped and pointed, looked it all over and asked where I got it. When we would come back in from the lake there would be people standing around the truck pointing and nodding. Everyone seemed to be impressed. We used a big ice chest as a step to making getting in and out easier.Since it's in the back of the truck, there is a shelf around the perimeter (Bed Rails) and a built in pocket and gear loft. Plenty of places to stow and store things.Material is heavy duty rip-stop and the bottom is a thick mill material also. To my surprise the rain fly is already seam sealed. The straps the make contact with the paint on the bed have sewn in strips of material to keep the buckles from scratching the paint. The buckles, hooks and tensioners are made of a heavy plastic so no rusting or clanking when the wind picks up.I said first that the wife was more than impressed. This will for sure be the main reason we go fishing more often and be much more comfortable. When we wear it out I'll be buying another one.***Size: 6-Feet 5-InchI have been salivating to purchase this tent for years now and finally pulled the trigger a few weeks ago on the Backroadz model tent. I was a little skeptical as my truck is 17 years old and there is very little available for my truck in the aftermarket. This past weekend, I went out to Lake Wenatchee National Forest in WA I finally got to use it and loved it! It was super easy to setup and tear down. Easy enough for one person to setup but better if you have a friend to help out. I'll be using again at least one more time this summer and many more times next year.***|Size: 8-Feet|Verified PurchaseNever did like camping. My husband didn't either, but you always have those dang friends that are super into the woods and want to go camping for their birthday...no.thanks.We committed to the trip and had to get a tent. It was also going to RAIN! No way in a million years am I sleeping on rocks and puddles. We have a Ford F150, cab and a half with 8ft bed - queue the Napier Truck Tent.WONDERFUL. EASY SETUP (like 3 poles). NO LEAKS WITH RAIN FLY! We put down some "gym/kid mats" the puzzle kind to create a soft base before putting the tent in and you should too. The mats are cheap and 100000000% worth it to make your experience better. We like camping now :) It's not so bad when you have an easy awesome tent.11/10 WOULD RECOMMEND IF YOU HATE CAMPING OR NEED SOMETHING AWESOME!!PDAB00ASYOT8W53At this time we are not able to ship to Hawaii or Alaska for FREE.We do, however, ship to the lower 48 states for FREE.We do not combine shipping on our items.... but that should not matter as almostall of our items are shipped for FREE.We are not set up for local pickup as items are stored and housed in various locations. As much as we appreciate our military people, and we truly do, at this timewe can not ship to a military address.  We are so sorry.  It stinks, but for now we have to go with that.SUV TentWARNING:CHOKING HAZARD -- Toy contains a marble.
