Here's zpacks' official description:
The Hexanet has the advantage that it can be used independently to sleep under the stars when it is nice out, however it has alot less living space compared to a screened in Hexamid Solo-Plus tent. You won't be able to squeeze in a second person, whereas you can with the tent and a twin groundsheet.Sets up with just one 52" trekking pole, a tent pole, or it can be hung from a tree branch. The handle of the pole inserts into a cup at the peak of the shelter. The Hexanet is pitched with just 4 stakes at the corners, and 1 for the main guy line. When it is set up in conjunction with a Solo-Plus Hexamid tarp it requires just 4 additional stakes for the corners (14 total). There are now also loops at all six upper corners of the bathtub to clip it out to the tarp if desired (shown in the video but not in the photos). Here is a Hexanet Setup Video, made by Chad Poindexter. You can set the HexaNet up first, then pitch the tarp over top of it later if rain starts during the night. Or if it is already raining you can pitch the tarp first, then put up the HexaNet second to keep it dry.It has a comfortable amount of space for one person to lie down or sit up, with a small amount of space for gear at the ends or beside you.The 7" tall bathtub floor keeps you nice and dry, protected from spray and ground water. The seams are all taped water tight. All Zpacks gear has a one year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Returns or exchanges are welcome.Dimensions (approximate): Peak Height: 48 inches (122 cm). Pole height: 52" (132 cm)Length: 8 feet (2.44 meters)Width: 36 inches (91 cm)Weight:The total weight of the HexaNet including taped seams, guy lines, and a stuff sack is 9.0 ounces (255 grams).A Hexamid Solo-Plus Tarp with taped seams, and guy-lines, stuff sack is about 8.4 ounces (238 grams)The total for the Hexanet and the Tarp packed together is 17.4 ounces (493 grams)14x Stakes are required but are not included. We have a variety of Ultralight Stakes to choose from.
