Classic close contact dressage saddle, but for the modern dressage ring:Stubben Tristan Special built as Willis Schultheis designed with half panels, no blocks and the Tristan's open seat.Seat size is 18", the tree is 31.5 cm. I found this tree to be a horse-friendly fit and shape, and Stubben's spring tree very comfortable for sitting work. The tree is in good shape-- no squeaking or wrinkles in the seat or twisting to indicate weakness or damage. This one is a bit updated with its black color and gusseted half panels for a better, more stable fit at the back. Traditional short billets. I have found short billets/long girth to keep dressage saddles more stable on the horse's back. With the correct length of girth, the buckles fit behind the rider's knee and cannot be felt.Knee pads are black suede that have faded a bit with time. This picture was taken outside, but on an overcast day. Used, but well-cared for.The original brown color of the leather shows through the back where the rider's boots have been on the saddle, where the rider's sitting bones rest, and a bit on the cantle, if you look carefully. When the leather is cleaned and conditioned, those marks are dark and don't show. The short strap for the over girth on the near side has a broken keeper (the other is intact) and it's a bit thin near the flap of the saddle.I have done my best to describe all signs of wear that are not visible in the pictures. Please consider the above text and the pictures to be the full and accurate description of the saddle. Please ask if you'd like close-ups of any other parts of the saddle. No returns, but I'll consider trails for serious buyers with a small restocking free. Contact me to work out terms.Free shipping to the lower 48 States. International buyers contact me for terms. I will credit $55 USD toward shipping and insurance, the remainder of those costs and duties are the buyer's responsibility. Thanks for looking!
