As a newly formed business we are currently working on a web site and Youtube product video's for the orion range of tents and other items as required The "SPRING BAR" Frame system was created over 35 years ago by a Canadian canvas goods manufacturer, the design was then adapted to Australian Conditions By Snowy River Canvas. Snowy River Canvas was the first Company to utilise this design in an Australian Manufactured Canvas Tent. Since then the 'ORION has been manufactured by Grangers Camping world, Camping World, Echo21, Melbourne Canvas & Repairs & Most Recently Tambo Campers.The "ORION" range of tents has sold previously by many Camping goods retailers although the retailer may have changed the name of the tents to their own. Some of the tents are the "Signature" series and have a Bill Ruyter signature on them. Bill has been a pioneer of Canvas tent manufacturing in Australia with many of his designs being adopted by the mainstream tent manufacturing industry, so you can be assured that when you purchase an "ORION" tent, you are buying a product that has sold over 3500 units with no returns, you are buying a tent that has had the original design continually improved on for over the last 30 years, never compromised on quality with Chinese units flooding the market, other Manufactures are trying to copy the springbar design but always fall short because they do not have the 30+ years of product development with this design, make no mistake this is the original springbar tent in Australia.The current crop of copies are not even close to the Quality of canvas used in our "Orion" tents, details of which are available on request, along with other design differences that create a tent that will last.

For sale is the original made in Australia "ORION 8" touring /4wd/camping/family tent, the tent is constructed from high quality lightweight Australian made "Billabong" waterproof canvas. The tent design incorporates a reinforced PVC welded bucket floor with unique reinforced pegging points.

Due to the unique design of the external springbar frame there are no poles inside the tent creating a unobstructed clear floor space.The setup of the ORION tent is suitable for all levels of experience, from first time through to seasoned traveller / camper and takes less than 10 mins to set up , on average once used the the setup procedure usually takes about 5-7 minsWhen packing down the tent it has no embedded frame so the tent can the folded to suit your packing requirements ( within reason ) the tent is manufactured using Australian made / sourced materials these materials are of the highest quality and when the correct maintenance procedures are followed you can expect many years of happy DRY camping in all conditions , except floods, wind tested to 125kph ( last tent standing ) and not a drop of water inside once seasoned The ORION comes with a large awning with side wings and velcro edging for the attachment of the optional flywire annexe / wind break / canvas annexe Specifications
