A two person tent at less than 2 Kg, the Robens Buzzard is a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts looking for space without a huge weight penalty. Robens might not be very well known in the UK, but this Danish tent manufacturer has been highly rated among European campers due to its built quality and top-notch materials. Apart from being one of a few European tent manufacturers that have their own wind test facilities, Robens might be the only brand that tests its tents' wind stability to the extreme limits and publishes its wind test results openly. With its super strong quality, this tent can be an alternative to Hilleberg, Vaude, and Terra Nova.
The Buzzard is the top-of-the-range model from Robens. You might have come across the Robens Starlight (1 & 2) model. With respect to the Robens Starlight, the Buzzard is a higher spec version, because it uses top quality materials: 1) siliconised nylon flysheet (Hydrotex LT) for increasing tear resistance and water repellency quality (while the Starlight uses PU-coated polyester flysheet [Hydrotex HD]); 2) DAC Pressfit pole (while the Starlight uses normal aluminium alloy pole). I'm not saying that the Buzzard is better than the Starlight, but they are produced with different choices of materials, which lead to different production costs.
