18" Custom Jaguar Medium Tree, Buffalo Leather Upgrade PRICE DROPPED $3,100.00 + Shipping.Originally $4,600.00Medium tree easily sits smaller with a good half-pad. Includes gorgeous soft 58” stirrup leathers, high-quality jointed cheese grater irons.Jaguar short dressage girth 25", matching dye lot, IncludedI had this custom made by Jaguar Car Co. in England. I wanted something jump-ish with a shorter flap for hacking out, but wanted a deeper more dressage-y seat for security. I also asked for long billets so I didn’t have bunchy girth buckles under my leg, which I can’t stand. I talked at length directly to the saddlemakers, and they made exactly what I wanted. The result is an outstanding secure seat for hacking out, especially on horses who get silly and spook. The grippy buffalo leather is a wonderful luxury. Suits foxhunting for those who love a deeper seat. It would especially suit lower level eventers who don’t want to use two different saddles for jump and dressage competition. Shorten the irons just a bit and it’s great over fences.Saddlemaker Harry Dabbs did the saddle design for Jaguar, and it’s absolutely as luxurious as you’d expect from a company that makes zillion-dollar cars. They don’t make this anymore, so it’s a rare find. I've ridden in it only a dozen times as it was made several years ago for a different horse than I have now. Always kept properly conditioned and in heated tack rooms or indoors. It breaks my heart to sell it. However, I've taken up cattle penning.
