Don't be put off by the "deep seat", as it is not really that deep. It's simply not flat like a true close contact. The old owner successfully rode hunters and jumpers in it without any issues. She said she loved it and said it felt very secure. This lovely saddle sells for over $2k. I bought it used for $1700 a little over a year ago. The first owner lightly used it and then changed disciplines. (She went western!)It does have some normal scuffs and dings from use. It has some dark marks on flaps from boot rubs from previous owner. I put it on my horse, sat in it, walked for a few minutes and realized that it was not for me. I cannot use a Bates dressage, but for some reason, I thought this would work. (The ultra narrow twist does not work for my shape.) I know a lot of people love it. But, it's not for me. I am taking a hit on this, but I just want it out of my barn!It has been sitting covered. You will find a little dust on it. The saddle is currently set with the BLACK medium plate. It also comes with the gullet plate of your choice. Just let me know what you need. If you are not sure, I will throw in an extra. The gullet was installed by former owner. I have no knowledge of changing it. I would suggest you take this saddle to a reputable shop and ask for help if you need it changed. Please-- also make sure that all screws are tight before riding. If in doubt, please take it to a reputable shop prior to riding in it to ensure your safety. Screws could loosen during transit. No stirrups or leathers are included. Only the saddle. Shipping is $25. US Lower 48 states only. This saddle is being sold as is. No returns. No trials. Payment must be made within 3 days of auction close.
