The Blanchard Drawtite tent is an American classic.Easy to set up, strong, and weatherproof. The below text is from the Eureka website:In 1960, Eureka!'s new and innovative Draw-Tite® tent, with its practical, free standing external frame, travelled with Sir Edmund Hillary—the first person documented to summit Mt. Everest only six years earlier—in a Himalayan Expedition to Nepal. Then in 1963, Eureka! made history: in the first all American Mt. Everest expedition, sixty Draw-Tite® tents sheltered participants from fierce 60+ mph winds and temperatures below -20°F as James W. Whittaker and others summited the mountain. The tent up for auction is a piece of American history. This tent is 8' x 10' which is extremely rare, and the high point is tall enough to stand upright in. I've had this tent for a few years now, and find that I don't use it as much as it should be.Tent is in great shape, no rips or repairs anywhere. Some minor staining in spots, doesn't affect use at all. This tent was made in the heyday of camping. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to set it up alone. With help it would probably take 10 minutes. And I haven't set this up for 2 years!Has the original bag for the poles, for the tent, and for the stakes.I've not been able to determine exactly when this tent was made, but I'm guessing in the 60's.And here it is, all these years later, killing it! With style. It's all set up, with my cot, and thunderstorms on the way. It'll be my home for the night. :)I am willing to listen to reasonable offers, but I won't give this away.Don't forget, that shipping is included in the price. There is a reason these don't show up on Ebay often. There weren't too many made, and the folks who have them will seldom part with them.Camp on!
