The combined weight of the tent, centre pole and woodburner with its chimney weighs in at under 2kg!!!Let's start with the tent...as you might know the Golite brand stopped trading. Having previously owned their Hex3 and Shangri-La3 shelters I've found the extra space inside the SL5 makes for a completely different experience...bags of space to sit around and less likely to brush against the sides at night. The footprint is approximately 9 feet square. It'll sleep 5 at a push, is perfect for a couple and palatial for one!I once forgot to fit the spark arrestor to the chimney stack pipe and a rogue hot spark burnt a small hole in the silnylon fabric (see arrows in photos). It's low down and next to the door so doesn't affect the sleeping or sitting area even if left as it is. A square inch of repair tape would be plenty big enough to sort it out. All you will need are your own tent pegs and an inner nest if needed... this listing is for what you can see in the photos. I commissioned a yurt maker to sew in a silicone/heat proof 'stove jack' to stop the hot chimney melting the tent fabric, it works well but the stitching looks rather messy on the inside. The Ti Goat stove jack is great and comes with a removable flap which covers the chimney hole when you head out in the milder months (shown in 2nd to last photo). It has dyneema tie outs on each side which really help in higher winds. The Woodburner is hand made by a small American company called 'Titanium Goat' it's really innovative and unbelievably light weight. The cylindrical part of the stove body and chimney roll up into a small tube and once dismantled everything packs down small enough to fit in a rucksack...including the Shangri-La5 (the last photo shows everything... tent, centre pole, wood burner and stack pipe). I've used this cylinder stove loads of times and as long as you only feed it with wood that fits comfortably through the door opening and don't overload it, you'll enjoy years of toasty warm evenings. The cheapest you'll get this stove (new) with the stove jack and spark arrestor is £265The last used Golite SL5 I saw come up (over a year ago) sold for £280 (also without an inner)*It's important to treat Hot tents with extra care so here's some Health and Safety for your close attention...Despite the tent having good vents at the apex I would recommend setting the centre pole so the tent is pitched at least 2" off the ground to prevent the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. I'd also advise against lighting the burner in high winds or going to sleep with it still pumping out heat. Here are some photos of this exact tent and stove. Please note the inner nest shown is not included... http://www.thebimbler.co.uk/hot-tent-at-the-bistroHere are more photos of this tent in other parts of the website linked above but some show a different woodburner.
